TNSTC Madurai was formed in by merging three corporations erstwhile namely Pandiyan Roadways Corporation Ltd., (PRC) which served Madurai(Integrated) district, Rani Mangamal Transport Corporation Ltd., (RMTC) which served present Dindigul and Theni districts and Veeran Sundaralingam Transport Corporation Ltd., (VSTC) which served Virudhunagar district.
